About Miran

Hi, I'm Miran, a fourth-year Computer Science student at Lakehead University in Orillia. I build software from start to finish, working across full-stack development, data analysis, AI, and cybersecurity.

As a Junior Developer and student, I code both front-end interfaces and back-end systems. I'm looking for new grad opportunities to start my career.

Outside of programming, I read a lot about history and philosophy—these subjects shape how I think about solving problems. When I'm not at my computer, I'm usually reading, discussing project ideas with friends, or playing guitar.

Experience

Junior Developer - Cybersecurity & AI

May 2025 - Present / White Tuque
  • Designed a microservices-based RAG system using OpenAI embeddings and MongoDB vector search to deliver security insights from fragmented SQL data.
  • Built an ETL RAG context provider microservice using Flask, with Auth0 M2M for authentication, linking portals, admin tools, and document generation; containerized with Docker Compose.
  • Refactored monolith into distributed services for RAG, data access, and client interfaces, improving security boundaries and maintainability.

AI Cybersecurity Research Intern

May 2025 - Sep 2025 / Polytechnique Montreal
  • Developed automated vulnerability repair system with 312+ experimental runs, achieving 95% patch success rate using Python and Tree-sitter AST parsing.
  • Built hybrid retrieval system combining semantic search and direct lookup, boosting patch quality by 20+ points with optimized context injection.
  • Implemented function-level indexing with embeddings, enabling semantic code search across repositories while mitigating dataset contamination.

Student Researcher

Jan 2024 – Apr 2025 / Georgian College
  • Developed Web applications including a client portal for a local cybersecurity company, implementing a customizable dynamic survey leading into an algorithm that determines a curated list of cybersecurity solutions.(.NET, SOLID principles, Xunit & Mock for unit testing)

Data & Analytics Technician

Apr 2023 – Sep 2023 / Regional Municipality of York
  • Developed automated reports and KPI reports sent to paramedic chief and Community and health services stakeholders.
  • Fetched large amounts of data from the data warehouse and developed interactive performant dashboards. Worked on key metrics such as ambulance response times and target KPI calculations.
  • Developed internal tools to track Data reports and team performance utilizing power apps.

Junior Software Developer

Nov 2020 - Dec 2021 / Bruska

Worked on a sales tracking software including real-time location tracking. Implemented geo-lock functionality to restrict software access based on user location. (JavaScript, Geolocation API)

Created responsive React components, including an interactive invoice designer.

Improved scalability of Node.js applications by spawning multiple processes using the cluster module on virtual machines. Managed individual Node.js instances and databases for individual clients, ensuring efficient resource allocation and performance optimization in collaboration with the team.
